Video: Roman Signer portfolio
In W*126 we took a trip to Ebeltoft in Denmark to witness Swiss artist Roman Signer's explosive commission by Kvadrat CEO Anders Byriel. Signer fired explosives with 50 metres of red Kvadrat fabric attached to the end over the sea, creating a momentary, transient, bizarre and beautiful display in the process.

You'll find more about Signer's work and his explosion on the Ebeltoft beach on page 78 of W*126. Though much of his intention is about the spectacle and surprise of the moment (particularly where explosives are involved), he also has an able team on hand to chronicle each work on video and, as well as showing his Kvadrat commission in full, we delved deeper into the artist's back catalogue to show our favourite of his works in motion.
