Wallpaper* Handmade with Jaguar travels to New York

Wallpaper* Handmade with Jaguar makes its debut appearance in New York during this May's ICFF with a suitably strong showing from US designers. Todd Bracher, Paul Loebach, Jeff Zimmerman, the Haas Brothers and Mary Wallis and Suzanne Tick are the among the US designers to work on one-off wonders for this year's edition of Handmade. New York architects Snarkitecture meanwhile are presenting a brand new collaboration with legendary British auto-maker Jaguar.
After another triumphant outing during Salone del Mobile in Milan, a special Handmade* edit will arrive at 345meatpacking, a luxurious new downtown development by DDG, on May 16 and run until the end of the month.
Handmade - Wallpaper's unique celebration of creative collaboration, contemporary craft and cutting-edge materials - is increasingly mobile and the New York edition follows appearances in the windows of Harrods store in London, at Design Miami as well its now established starring role during Milan Design Week.
The New York show includes over 40 specially commissioned designs from this year's show with a few stand-out pieces from past shows thrown in for good measure. The Haas Brothers worked with Flavor Paper to produce glow-in-the-dark wallpaper for this year's show while Todd Bracher designed a remarkable cork jacket. Paul Loebach worked with Logitech to produce the 'Tablet Book' while Zimmerman collaborated with Wallpaper's US editor Michael Reynolds on a series of, erm, hand-blown glass tools of intimate enjoyment.
Wallpaper* will also show collaborations between Jaguar and designers Fredrikson Stallard, Moritz Waldemeyer and Mathieu Gustafsson as well as architects Neri & Hu and Vincenzo de Cotiis and marble specialist Salvatori.
