Insect spray is a mundane, but necessary part of going on holiday. Jo Malone Limited has always turned to English gardens as inspiration so the brand's partnership with Thrive - a UK-based charitable organization encouraging gardening as therapy to the disabled - to resuscitate The Old English Garden at Battersea Park is particularly meaningful. Through the efforts of young Londoners training as professional gardeners in the space, and Jo Malone Limited's team volunteering throughout the summer, the garden has been restored to its former glory. Designed around a fountain surrounded by flower arcades, the garden boasts over 3000 blooms and herbs, which have been selected from the brand's signature ingredients, including lavender, jasmine, roses and violets.

With all attention on London this month, we thought it only right to have a rifle through the piles of new Anglo-related paraphernalia that have emerged. Paperself's paper eyelashes caught our eye for the way they make a nod towards the Chinese tradition of delicate paper cutting while paying tribute to the British capital.
