Aspen Social Club, New York
If you’re in Manhattan and find yourself lost amid the frenetic hustle of Times Square hankering for something a little more rustic, a lot less brash, and antlers – an entire ceiling of them – then the new Aspen Social Club on 47th Street might save your night.
See more of the Aspen Social Club
Like a sophisticated cabin abutting a pristine Colorado ski slope (but suitable for year-round use), the warm 3,000-foot wood-clad restaurant and lounge space is the latest outpost of popular downtown eatery Aspen.
Enjoy creatively traditional beer-swigging comfort fare like macaroni and (four-)cheese, artichoke-Parmesan dip tortilla chips, Rocky Mountain oysters with chili mayonnaise, or yellowfin tuna deviled eggs beneath hundreds of illuminated antlers (by artist Jason Miller), surely one of the most elaborate lighting creations we’ve seen in a while. Or just camp out at the bar atop hand-tooled leather stools from Ted Nemeth Designs for a menu of specialty tequilas and cocktails.
