Hyères festival 2010
The annual Hyères Festival International de Mode & de Photographie is now in its 25th year and this year's crop of new talent was no exception to the consistently high quality and inspirational standard that we have come to expect. Wallpaper* made the pilgrimage to Villa Noailles on the south coast of France to see some of the finest photographers in fashion present their work alongside the rising stars of the industry.
Head jurors Oliviero Toscani and Dries Van Noten oversaw this year's festival, which featured, amongst its highlights, a projection of iconic images from Stephen Klein and a retrospective of the Swiss photographer Walter Pfieffer.
Our favourites from the festival, included works by Matthieu Lavanchy, Yann Gross and Robin Schwartz. Wallpaper* photographer Matthieu Lavanchy won the competition, along with fellow Swiss Yann Gross.
