Behind the set: the making of AMO’s marble marvel for Prada’s A/W 2015 menswear show
Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas has been collaborating with Prada for over a decade on catwalk show spaces and flagship stores worldwide.
This season for Prada's menswear presentation, Koolhaas' think tank AMO reinvented the Italian brand's Milan HQ as a labyrinth of intimate rooms clad in faux midnight blue and black marble, and accentuated with floor-to-ceiling aluminium tunnels that interconnected each volume.
Named 'The Infinite Palace', the changing proportions of each hyper-futuristic chamber created an abstract geometric landscape that also allowed for an intimate viewing of the collection. AMO has always orbited outside of the fringes of traditional design, and the firm's latest collaboration with Prada is out of this world.
