CP Company A/W 2014
CP Company boasts nearly four decades of experience in utility outerwear, which could explain the intense focus it placed on its key garment - the zipped, hooded parka - for A/W 2014. Played out to a live DJ set in an underground studio in Soho, the brand hung its latest offerings on microphone stands throughout the cavernous space, each wired to a pinhole camera projecting the audience's own faces back at us through the frame of CP Company's iconic inbuilt goggle-hood. Meticulously garment-dyed pieces were the highlight of this one-note story - chequered Shetland wool and down linings were combined with technical polyamides, Royal Navy oilskins and waffle knit sleeves, pushing the dialogue about British and Italian heritage ever forward.
