Savile Row Collection A/W 2014
'Buckle up and buckle down' - so said the wartime idiom that boldly prefaced the invitation to Savile Row's group initiative for A/W 2014, held within the Cabinet War Rooms, an underground museum labyrinth off Whitehall, once frequented by Winston Churchill and his closest advisors. This unique occasion saw models clothed in the bespoke wears of fourteen tailors and staged in scenarios around the offices, boardrooms and mess quarters of the War Rooms. Their fine suiting and leisurewear looked perfectly at home amongst the logbooks, Bakelite telephones and other original artifacts from the Great War, offering a polished tableau vivant of British sartorial history.
