Scene setting: In the Arts Club’s Drawing Room, models stood solemnly lined up on grey concrete plinths, grey in all nuances also being the dominating colour this season. A piano player in the corner of the room unobtrusively provided quiet melodies for the gathered guests.

Finishing touches: Turned-up trouser cuffs and sneakers added to this winter season’s leisurely vibe. Hardy Amies also proved a collection that can easily be worn from the office to the countryside: large two-tone leather weekend bags did not look out of place in the hands of these modernly attired models.
