Fendi A/W 2016

Mood board: Taking a cue from her cosy new Dimore Studio designed apartment in Rome, Silvia Fendi ramped up the lounge-y aspects of her menswear collection to super effects. Fuzzy, nubby and decidedly cool leisurewear included wooly layers of boxy oversized outerwear, plaid bathrobes and extra wide trousers that all strutted across a furry carpet to the buttery vocal tunes of Barry White.
Best in show: As always, the fur creations shone the brightest: plaid configurations were cut from intricate fur intarsias; mink blazers were worn with Prince of Wales check pantaloons; while thin, elegant topper coats were actually crafted from bulky shearling.
Finishing touches: A brand like Fendi puts out clever creative accessories in their sleep. This season they introduced fur lined loafer slippers, supersized shaggy carpet totes, shaved shearling fishing hats, and wooly pink gloves that matched nothing but went with everything.
