Versace S/S 2015

Ahoy there! Donatella Versace has climbed aboard the fishing boat for S/S 2014, strapping her man in netting and enough rope to tie up an ocean liner. From clinging net tank tops to ropey embroidered shirts and clingy knitwear laced up the arms, the collection was a light form of Love Boat bondage. Even the rucksacks strapped onto the bronzed models' backs were cut from netting and strapped up with towels and a castaway's bounty of richly decorated Versace cups and saucers that clinked as they swung on by. Versace wisely tamed the ocean-Tarzan effect with sharp tailoring - finely cut suits in sorbet colours that were worn with nothing but a golden amulet on a bare beefy chest. There was also an eye opening toga moment: men wrapped up in swathes of cotton sheets and towels trimmed in the house's signature Greek fret motif - a move that probably makes most sense when one is parked poolside in Mykonos.
