Canali S/S 2017
Mood board: Canali’s runway was filled with buttoned-up boys, who appeared in the perfect, polite and proper spring time leisure wardrobe. There was lots of lovely linen, sporty separates, and softened hues of rose melting into ochre.
Best in show: This is a suiting company, after all, so Canali’s tailoring looked super sharp. Best of the bunch were the double-breasted suits in a grainy navy and white, shrunken to just the right length, making them modern but not weird.
Finishing touches: Suede driver shoes, slim moccasins and two-tone penny loafers were the classic half of the footwear equation. There were also lace-up perforated sneakers, good looking intellectual glasses and a man bag flat clutch with a graphic rectangle handle.
