Junya Watanabe A/W 2015

Mood board: Junya Watanabe picked up his pencil and began drawing his collection like an architect, transforming pleats, honeycombs and nets into massive and impressive 3D clothing.
Best in show: We were spoiled for choice in this gem filled show, but the best of Watanabe's new creations were the pleated pieces like a bulbous dress cut from black Python petals that swayed grandly through the air.
Finishing touches: As interiors buffs we could not help but be bowled over by the headgear that looked like magnificent rigid lampshades cut from sturdy black wool felt. We suggest they get exhibited at Milan's Salone del Mobile next month.
