Sportmax S/S 2015

Sportmax was in a knotty, knotty mood this season with nearly every look in the spring collection coming tied up in some form or another. Using giant, oversized twists of fabric, the single knots were built into the front construction of slim knit dresses, three-quarter length stretchy skirts and into the shoulders of sexier, draped dresses. We've seen this technique bubble up on other runways for a few seasons now, but Sportmax made a few cool original moves such as the opening look which saw a micro-woven leather overcoat with a black and straw plaid pattern clamped closed with an oversized leather tie. It was fresh and focused and just in step with Sportmax's terrific footwear. Come next season, every girl in town is going to be pining for the flat form sandals with micro woven uppers or velvet ribbon ties.
