Mood board: A warm wind from the Atlas Mountains swept over Paula Gerbase’s 1205 show that was laced with the pragmatism of a nomadic aesthete. Classic archetypes were reworked with an organic approach in terms of drape and material composition – from her basket weave suede to an open weave paper cotton. But more than just being a summer collection, there was a new sense of reveal this season, as t-shirt were sliced into and tucked high at the front, while cross-over leather tunic tops gave good shoulder. We liked this new vulnerability that warmed up Gerbase’s uniform dressing with a soft sensuality.
Best in show: The opening look's butter soft leather wrap shirt teamed with cropped chinos of the same beige hue. The material pairing imbued an elevated utilitarian feel.
Finishing touches: The girls’ half up, half down hair plaits and all-white Air Max provided the collection with a relaxed grounding.
