Costume National S/S 2016

Mood board: A Costume National show wouldn’t be the same without a healthy dose of black but this season designer Ennio Capasa took his favourite shade and cut it with softer lines. Dresses had fluid, asymmetrical hems, while chiffon tops fluttered by with a new, beautiful feminine ease.
Best in show: Though he loves black, we were blown away by his work with pure white. Specifically, a divine white knit dress with accordion-style pleats in the cotton skirt. It bounced along the runway with summer freshness as well as a sharp sophistication.
Finishing touches: Shoes this season were pointed toe pumps or sandals with high-tech looking ankle straps that gave the looks a sporty edge. Best of all was the kitten heel version that makes skipping around the streets a cinch.
