Lemaire S/S 2016

Mood board: Slightly more retro inspired than their previous, classically composed collection, Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran seemed to look at the fun and brighter side of life for Summer 2016. Playful trousers with curved seams and almost psychedelic prints showed a more nonchalant side to the Lemaire woman.
Scene setting: In the Jeu de Paume space, usually dedicated to contemporary art, the bare white walls and wooden flooring did much to emphasise Lemaire’s ultra-modern, pared-down intellectual chic.
Team work: Lemaire’s collaboration with the interior and jewellery designer Sophie Buhai was a discreet one, almost unnoticeably adding fine silver bracelets on top of jacket sleeves and blouses. Other cuffs were asymmetric but complementary in shape, long earrings were worn single, providing a focal point to monochrome outfits.
