Mood board: Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran And are a finely attuned couple, with ideas that seemingly flow over into each other flawlessly. This S/S 2017 collection felt effortless in the sureity of the casual silhouettes and the confident non-linear stride of the models to an upbeat tune.

Best in show: The layered looks, especially, conveyed the laid-back atmosphere of this collection, the ease with which such outfits can, very realistically, be assembled. A wrinkled grey dress worn over slouchy silver trousers was a great daywear proposition. A dressier silhouette were the paint-splatter printed dresses of different lengths – or two or three – worn over wide-legged trousers and A-line flared skirts.

Finishing touches: Oversized buttons occurred on small leather handheld box bags and as details on shirts. Conversely, oversized leather shoulder bags with a utility feel had no buttons, but multiple flap pockets.
