Fall in love with these heart-shaped handbags
This Valentine’s Day, Cupid’s got his bow directed towards our shopping basket. Heart-shaped handbags have got us feeling all a flutter
Forget affection, this Valentine’s Day, we're lusting after a handbag in a heart shape. Yes, the eternal symbol of love has been immortalised in a range of loved-up leather goods, by luxury labels including Celine, Dior and Saint Laurent. Forget carrying your heart on your sleeve, this year, sling it across your shoulder or swing it from your finger.
Celine
Love is in the air at Celine. Just look to the Parisian maison’s Valentine’s Day capsule collection. Here, the heart comes into focus, seen in a selection of shearling, Triomphe logo and leather mini handbags and shoulder bags. We have a new object of affection.
Dior
Dior’s ‘Cupidon’ capsule collection features an exclusive print celebrating Eros, the Greek god of love. The offering also features an iteration of Dior’s signature Lady Dior bag, with its Cannage quilting shaped into romantic hearts.
Saint Laurent
The heart motif is synonymous with French label Saint Laurent, ever since its founder created a crystal-embellished heart-shaped brooch in 1962. Here, the shape is tessellated in multicoloured studs across a sizeable drawstring bucket bag.
