In partnership with Laminar
With each piece of its urban-focused performance clothing a bold fusion of innovation and tradition, Laminar’s S/S 2025 collection is the Italian label’s first as a stand-alone brand. Originally founded as a division of Herno in 2010, Laminar’s new independence marks its transition to classic status in its field.
Rooted in Italian craftsmanship, Laminar combines design and technology, using cutting-edge fabrics and techniques to create garments that embody comfort and protection against the elements. Inspiration comes from the brand’s working ethos, ‘Designed for motion. Built for meaning’, which translates as an exploration of functionality, sensuality and organic silhouettes, paying attention to shape, colour and material development, in both men’s and womenswear.
Fabrics of choice include tech-poplin, translucent ripstop, extra-light stretch mercerised jersey, and Gore-Tex – all versatile and durable, sophisticated and practical, just like the Laminar protagonist (and nod towards Herno’s roots in fabric production). These are worked into simple, elegant designs that prioritise performance over trends.
This spring and summer, that means shackets (shirt meets jacket), tech-crinkle shorts, cony-knit sweaters, and spring parkas, for example. Individual garments and accessories have been designed to work either on their own or teamed with other items from the collection. Clean lines, and meticulous details make for a quiet modernity – all set for style and performance in motion.
