Clean Market brings smart beauty and on-demand wellness to NYC
Tere is no shortage of marketplaces in New York City, but of all the wellness-inclined varieties, a new destination has leapt to the top of the list. Just opened in Manhattan’s bustling Midtown area is Clean Market, a holistically-charged nutrition emporium which believes that beauty originates from within.
Located on a busy street corner, this elegant, all-white destination has spun the notion of a classic day spa on its head, replacing massages and other ubiquitous pampering services with infrared saunas, IV drips, cryotherapy treatments alongside a bevvy of smart supplements and functional foods.
The brainchild of Lily Kunin, a clean food advocate, Clean Market brings all of her expertise under one roof. Designed to elevate both mind and body from within, Kunin has created a restorative environment where clean-living disciples and punters alike can partake. From individual infrared saunas, where guests can privately can sweat toxins out at an enhanced level (reportedly seven times more than normal heat therapies) and boost circulation while relaxing, to whole body cryotherapy where you step into a human-sized cryochamber, filled with air that has been cooled with liquid nitrogen to a chill –130 degrees celsius, Clean Market has both ends of the spectrum well-covered.
Most enticing may well be the Nutridrip drip lounge – the first location outside of the Nutridrip brand’s own clinics – which dispenses its 14-strong menu of intravenous vitamin drips that can target anything from detoxing the body and boosting energy to combating a hangover and getting skin to glow from within. Each drip (or booster shot for the time pressed) is administered by a trained practitioner in one of the lounge’s private rooms in comfy armchairs, and can be tailored as you wish. Cryofacials can also be done at the same time as a drip for an extra self-care lift.
In addition to these treatments, Clean Market also boasts a tonic bar, which doles out smartfood smoothies, a menu of vitamin-infused power shots and signature drinks designed with the LA-favourite Moon Juice, including a CBD-oil laced latte. Kunin’s functionality-based approach to wellness continues into the market itself, where she’s stocked the shelves with tried and tested supplements, adaptogens and bath and beauty products that support detox, balance adrenals, support gut health and regulate mood and stress.
