Fab 40: Crudo restaurant
The clue is in the name - Crudo, the chic Manhattan-style restaurant and bar, only serves raw food. Located in the heart of the historic centre near Campo dei Fiori, Crudo boasts an eclectic mid-century minded interior, with video projections, expertly mixed cocktails and an extensive menu that includes everything from oysters and sushi to veal carpaccio and steak tartare.
The dishes, which are prepared with minimal interference, apart from a light steam or a blend of fresh herbs, are divided on the menu into three categories: delicate, medium and spicy. It goes without saying that, nestled among traditional pizzerias and trattorias, this restaurant is a welcome oddity in the city.
