Fab 40: Hotel Consolación, Aragón
Surrounded by mountains, pines, almond and olive trees and set near the tiny historic town of Teruel (population: 400) this might be the perfect rural retreat. We particularly like the hotel’s Kubes, ten minimalist villas inspired by the architecture of Craig Ellwood and Mies van der Rohe. All feature private terraces, black slate bath tubs, rain showers, natural beauty products, and the usual tech comforts like WiFi, plasma TV, and iPod connectivity. The restaurant serves up delicious local and seasonal fare and the views from the outdoor infinity pool are simply stunning.
