The newest destination to tickle our taste buds, La Société, nestled in the ample artistic bosom of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, is an expansive restaurant-cum-jazz bar that combines a dense British oakiness with a distinctly 'je ne sais quoi' French flavour.

With interior refinement from Parisian design stalwart, Christian Liaigre - owners Jean-Louis Costes and Alex Denis opted for classic over contemporary. The simplicity of the design however, along with the rich, chocolate pallet and the abundance of decadent materials sets La Société high above archetypal design boundaries.

Art plays a dominant part in La Société’s opulence, with photographic work from Peter Lindbergh, a marbled champagne bar from Sophie Lafont and sculptural work from Mathieu Lévy and Sara Favriau. Along similarly sensory lines, La Société also provides diners with an impressive program of live jazz performances. Judging by La Société’s diverse agenda, even the most voracious of cultural appetites is sure to be satisfied.
