Woodstockholm — Stockholm, Sweden
After setting up furniture brand Woodstockholm five years ago, friends Martin Stensö, Johan Edvardsson and Jon Åström Gröndahl have continued to explore new ways of showcasing their wares by expanding their Stockholm-based showroom to include a small bistro. Pieces – designed by Stensö’s father, Lars - are put to the ultimate test in the demanding environment. Here, the Woodstock chair, Märket lamp and Shaker table feature alongside light fixtures by Bangkok-based designer Ploypan Theerachai and local studio Uglycute. Edvardsson, who has taken on the role as restaurant manager, has tasked chef Elias Eriksson and sommelier Gustav Hyllienmark to oversee the ambitious food and drink menus, which features signature dishes such as local zander with black salsify and trout roe, lamb tartar with soured cream and frosty sea buckthorn with gin.
