Chris Corbin and Jeremy King - the duo beind iconic restaurants such as The Wolseley - have just launched another eatery with a refreshing take on the traditional European grand café. Once again recruiting the skills of local design firm David Collins Studio, the interiors, inspired by the glamour of the 1920s, features the liberal use of tactile materials such as wood, metal and brass. The dark green palette, along with the addition of leather banquettes and mirrors add to the overall atmosphere, while the company's signature logo appears on cast-bronze signs applied to pillars at the entrance. Like its sister restaurant, The Delaunay is an all-day operation serving mitteleuropean fare, but for those on the run, 'The Counter', located just next door (with a separate entrance) offers an eat-in or take-out menu with quick, casual bites.
