The Polo Bar — New York, USA

The Ralph Lauren empire continues to expand, this time in the group’s hospitality sector with the launch of a new two-floor bar and restaurant. Located just behind its flagship boutique on Fifth Avenue, the Polo Bar is a throwback to classic New York with wood-panelled walls, frosted pendant lamps and cognac leather banquettes. Visitors can sample the flush drinks menu at the sculpted wooden bar, or hunker down by the fireplace to enjoy classic cocktails served in shiny copper mugs by staff dressed in custom Ralph Lauren uniforms. Downstairs, via an undulating wooden staircase, the cosy dining room with its hunter-green walls and equestrian-themed paintings and photographs serves comforting all-American classics from Ralph’s corned beef sandwich (a personal favourite) to the signature Polo Bar burger. Refined and relaxed, this new venture is the living epitome of the good American life, through and through.
