Conversations with Renzo Piano
The first episode in a new documentary series reveals an extensive conversation between the Italian architect and Luis Fernández-Galiano
Titled Daylight and Reality, the documentary takes the form of a six conversations between the pair, starting with an introduction which is then followed by five conversations about Renzo Piano’s completed works that begin a biographical journey. In this exclusive cut for Wallpaper*, Piano talks about lightness and transparency in relation to the Menil Collection Museum – his poetic ruminations ebb from discussions of architecture as public art to the influence of the Mediterranean sea on his work. Commissioned by the Fundación Arquia and produced by White Horse and Barcelona-based Folch, ‘Maestros In Conversation’ will premiere in early 2018.
